Our table numbers were small, ornament place card holders from Pier 1. Aunt Gerry hand wrote the numbers and we placed 2 on each table.

Since Dad didn’t wear flowers with his uniform, the florist made him a little arrangement and had it waiting at his place. I thought that was incredibly thoughtful.

We spent our cocktail hour mingling and taking family pictures. Then we did a group shot with ALL 304 people! It took about 20 min to get everyone down on the floor and together enough to get them in the frame. But it was worth it and I’d totally do it again. LOVE this shot!

After the group shot, the parents, BP and us went back up stairs to do our formal entrances. Each couple walked in to a different song.

We entered to Livin’ on a Prayerby Bon Jovi (yes, we’re just that jersey)

First Dance – The Luckiest by Ben Folds

Uncle Rocky took this pic from the balcony. I love that our mom’s are holding hands.
Members of the Rutgers University sang Rutgers Prayer as our blessing.

Toasts – Diggs (MOH), Skip & Phil (co-best men); then Dad gave a short speech. (Thank God we got the video. I can’t for the life of me remember what any of them said.)

We sat at a sweetheart table; our parents sat together to our right and all our octa-genarians sat at a big round table to our left.

Father / Daughter dance: Isn’t She Lovely by Stevie Wonder

About 90 seconds into our father/daughter dance, we invited all other father’s and daughters to come up and join us. There were so many daddy/daughters!! So sweet!!

Mother / Son dance: Forever Young by Rod Stewart

Like father/daughter, we invited all mothers & sons to come up and join in.

Dinner & dancing

We had 2 photo displays on either banquet. One was of pictures of DH & I through the years (all 8+ of them!). The other was a generational table with pictures of our ancestors on their wedding days. We were able to find pictures 4-5 generations back!

Cake! 5 tiers of different vanilla and chocolate. YUM!!

My cousin & I made our cake topper to coordinate with our centerpieces.

Bouquet toss!

Groomsmen gifts in action.

“Everybody’s working for the weekend!” Dance done by DH’s cousin & BM. Which one is Chris Farley and which one’s Patrick Swayze?

To end the night on a sweet note, we put out Milk & Cookie bags for guests to take with them.

Thanks for looking!!
