I did a seating chart instead of escort cards. We were changing things around up until the night before and this was incredibly flexible. It’s a little different than other seating charts you’ll find of the knot but I think it worked great. We made 2 of them; one at the top of the staircase where cocktail hour was, one at the bottom on the dinner level.

It was a tri-fold presentation board. The room diagram was designed in Publisher (thanks Dad!) and printed poster size at Staples. Guests names were printed in alphabetical order by last name on our normal inkjet printer. We then cut them into strips and used double-sided tape to stick them up (only by the top).


On the back side of these, we put our milk & cookie signs. During dinner, our DOC took down the seating charts, closed up the sides and reset it by the exit, where our milk & cookies were set up.
