My centerpieces came to me in a dream. I woke up in the middle of the night with this vision in my head and was up for 2 hours sketching it out. I made my first prototype the next day. The final product was slightly different than my initial vision but they are still exactly what I wanted.

They are copper wire trees made out of 7 strands of 7-strand copper ground wire (Home Depot). The bases are 3 different sized octagons (12″ base, 4″ spacer & 6″top). The bases were specifically designed to incorporate our favors. I loved how the glass and metallic wrappers of the kisses looked sparkling against the candles and copper wire. The bases have been spray painted copper. The wire is unfinished and will patina with time. We made 32 of them. Have I mentioned we have THE BEST friends and family ever?! Cause we do.
5 of the trees were used in the ceremony before being set for dinner. I thought they provided great visual interest and continuity; tying the ceremony and reception spaces together.

Incorporating the favors into the centerpiece also helped keep the table very clear. We served dinner family style, so it helped having lots of room to put all the dishes.

Simply magical.
On the sweetheart and parent tables, we used a cluster of various clear glass/crystal candlesticks with copper taper candles.

Table Numbers – Copper & cognac colored ornament place card holders from Pier 1’s 2007 holiday collection. Aunt Gerry hand wrote the numbers in permanent marker and we placed two on each table. They were small but coordinated well with our colors and centerpieces. Quite possibly my favorite “find”.

You can see our copper ring orb well behind the table number ornament. The inside of the copper orb is a light blue ceramic – one half says To Have; the other, To Hold.

Everything was magicial!!! Love Aunt MaryAnn

We love your center pieces they are a works of art. A friend of mine is celebrating her daughter’s 15th birthday and she wanted something similar to your trees. Can you please give me more specific directions on how you build them. We really would appreciate your help and any imput you may have. Thank you so much and once again your wedding was beautiful.
